Berlin - home of the NanoMed conference series

The NanoMed 2009 will be held in the Great Lecture Hall of the Charité main building in central Berlin. It offers room to up to 350 participants.

The building is situated in the heart of the German capital, o­nly a few walking minutes from the new Central Station, the Reichstag (the German Parliament) and the governmental residence.

The Charité is o­ne of Europe's largest University Hospitals.
It was founded in 1710 and has been the home to numerous renowned physicians and researchers, including Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland, Rudolf Virchow, Paul Ehrlich, Robert Koch, Ferdinand Sauerbruch, and eight Nobel Prize winners, among them Werner Forßmann and Albrecht Kossel.

Since 2003, the Charité is a joint facility of Humboldt University and Freie Universität Berlin. Currently, with a staff of more than 12,800 employees, the hospital handles 127,400 inpatient and 500,000 outpatient cases a year under the motto: "Research, Teaching, Healing, Helping".
